Mexico Export Opportunity for Manufacturers: Join the City of LA Export Program Team in Baja

Figure 1

Mayor Eric Garcetti launched the City of Los Angeles Export Program in October of 2016 with the purpose of expanding international exports on behalf of local manufacturers. As part of this mission, the Mayor’s Office in Partnership is collaborating with the US Mexico Chamber of Commerce California Chapter to organize a Baja California Aerospace Trade Tour in Mexicali, Mexico from May 21-23, 2017. The goal is to bring 20 Southern California Aerospace companies to Mexicali to promote manufacturing and trade relationships that are beneficial to both countries.

The Baja California Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) has provided a market profile of industry demands for the Aerospace Cluster in the Baja region (see Figure 1 graphic). Los Angeles aerospace manufacturers get first priority for participating in the trade envoy, but interested firms throughout Southern California are invited to apply.

All applications must be received by April 28, 2017.
