AMP SoCal Steps into Matchmaking Role at AeroDef Manufacturing Conference

AMP SoCal’s partnership with SME has produced several different collaborative efforts geared at benefiting manufacturers within the region. At the annual AeroDef conference held at the Long Beach Convention Center, March 26-29, AMP SoCal teamed with SME to coordinate matchmaking appointments for interested suppliers to meet with Boeing and Northrop Grumman representatives. The matchmaking sessions followed a panel discussion, moderated by Libby Williams of the USC Center for Economic Development and AMP SoCal, featuring Boeing and Northrop Grumman and their current suppliers (pictured below) discussing how to do business with the “big dogs.” Prospective suppliers were then able to meet with small business liaison officers face-to-face for a matchmaking appointment. The appointment time slots filled up fast and representatives from the small businesses and from the OEMs expressed satisfaction and gratitude at the matchmaking opportunity.

Please continue to follow AMP SoCal for more news and information on future industry-focused events and opportunities.
