USC Center for Economic Development attends OEA Conference in D.C.

The Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) helps communities adapt to DoD program changes, expansions and cutbacks, as well as incompatibilities between military operations and local development. OEA is currently working with the USC Center for Economic Development (CED) on the AMP SoCal initiative.

On May 8-10, 2019, OEA held the Industry Resilience Learning Community Convening where numerous representatives from across the country gathered to share and learn about each other’s economic development efforts. Topics included supply chain, workforce, innovation and cybersecurity.

Dion Jackson, Program Director for CED and AMP SoCal, spoke on Facilitating Relationships and Communicating the Needs of the Industry Base interactive panel, where she highlighted the work being done within AMP SoCal.
