The USC Center for Economic Development (CED) is inviting those involved within the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) industry to share their expertise in a focus group meeting on Thursday, March 21 from 10 AM – 12PM. The focus group is sponsored by the Economic Development Administration, the U.S. Department of Commerce and will assist us in providing insights into the UAS industry within Southern California.
The event is targeting industry specialists from UAS manufacturers, government, and academia, to discuss industry trends, and emerging needs and opportunities. CED would like to focus the discussion on commercial UAS applications and their job creation potential as well as capital, workforce, and technology needs.
The co-moderators for this focus group are Deepak Bahl, Program Director at the USC Center for Economic Development and Keith Coleman, Strategy Officer at the Tesla Foundation, a science and technology think tank focused on autonomous technology.
This event may be attended in-person at USC or online via live webinar.
Participation will be vital in identifying business expansion and partnership opportunities to strengthen the UAS ecosystem in Southern California.
