On Tuesday, June 27th from 10 am to 12 pm, AMP SoCal will host a web-casted conference, entitled Fac-a-thon 4.0, to give aerospace and defense industry leaders the opportunity to become involved in an Industry/University Collaborative Research Center (IUCRC) grant proposal from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Faculty researchers from the University of Southern California, The University of Utah, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Louis Obispo, Cal State University Long Beach, Cal State University Northridge, University of California Los Angeles, and San Diego State University will present their topics of research in the areas of:
- Future Platform Component Systems
- Composite Materials and Advanced Materials
- Battery Technology
- Sensors
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Coating and High Temperature Alloys
- Robotics
- Additive Manufacturing
In addition, each presentation will be followed by a short Q&A session, details on how your business can gain access to pre-competitive research and further information about the grant application process.
