AMP SoCal regularly hosts free webinars featuring a variety of expert speakers who provide valuable information for aerospace and defense manufacturers. The online productions are accessible as a live webinar, and are recorded and housed on the AMP SoCal website as part of its growing online library of business-friendly content.
A business loan interview can be an intimidating but necessary step to growing your business. Learn how to tell your business’ story in a way that will inspire confidence and put your best foot forward when meeting with financial representatives. Our webinar will include an engaging discussion about loan interview questions, business plan development, slide deck presentation, and strategic preparation for potential red flag issues that may hinder your path forward.
The webinar presentation will be delivered by Tomás Durán, administrator for special projects at the USC Center for Economic Development, and lead for the AMP SoCal Strengthening Competitiveness Program (SCP), which offers free or reduced cost technical business assistance to manufacturers within the counties of Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego, who have been negatively affected by reduced Department of Defense procurement and contracting. He is also the President of Concerned Capital, Inc. (CC), a social benefit corporation based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to creating CC, Tomás worked as a Program Manager for the Whittier Redevelopment Agency and Vice President of Real Estate for Genesis LA Economic Growth Corp. In addition to CC, he is a part-time instructor for the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. He serves on the board of Friends of Uptown and the New Market Tax Credit community advisory boards for Dudley Ventures Community Investment and Lowe Economic Development Corporation. Tomás has a Master’s in Planning from the University of Southern California.
