California Club Los Angeles

Aerospace & Defense Panel - Members: 85 Non-Members: 135 Dress Code: Coat & Tie and No Denim please. Thanks to our sponsors Bolton & Company, Comerica, Duff & Phelps, Greenberg Traurig, SheppardMullin and Thompson Coburn. LAST YEAR'S A&D Panel - "Commercial aerospace was experiencing a strong upcycle with continued record number of aircraft deliveries and increasing backlogs. With current backlog equating to 7-8 years of production at projected production rates, there was good reason to be optimistic. Moreover, after several years of contraction, the defense sector was returning to growth in 2016 fueled by increases in U.S. defense budgets, a resurgence of global security threats, and growth in defense budgets of key nations around the world. Our panelists gave their perspectives on the developments and trends that were occurring in, and at different parts of, the A&D sector, and answered questions along the li nes of: are we past our prime? Where are we in the commercial aerospace cycle? Should we expect the defense sector rebound to continue over the next few years as result of the recovery of global military expenditures? Will the commercial aerospace supply chain sustain its massive consolidation trend? Best practices from A&D companies and how industry players can best position themselves for success going forward." Join us this year for an A&D update.
