Protecting Sensitive Unclassified Information

September 24, 2019.

The primary purpose of this one-day workshop was to ensure that small businesses are aware of the cybersecurity requirements mandated under Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) Subpart 204.73. The workshop focused on the 14 groups of controls from NIST SP 800-171, with examples highlighting what happens when these controls are not implemented and the risks associated with safeguarding controlled unclassified DoD information.

This presentation offers the opportunity to be familiar with all 110 controls and be able to better identify the areas where you may need greater focus to meet the DoD’s cybersecurity expectations.

This event was hosted in partnership with the  LA County Procurement Technical Assistance Center of the Department of Consumer & Business Affairs. This workshop was offered by the Price School – USC Center for Economic Development under a sub-award with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, with financial support from the Office of Economic Adjustment, Department of Defense.
