Manufacturing employers who are interested in hiring entry-level technicians are invited to attend the Intro to Manufacturing Technology Bootcamp hiring event on Friday, February 3 from 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm PST. Lunch will be included for those in attendance. Students enrolled in the program will deliver their final projects and are available for job interviews during the event.

Intro to Manufacturing Technology Bootcamp is piloted by East Los Angeles College (ELAC) and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension and is one of the AMP SoCal workforce and training initiatives. This accelerated 5-week certificate program began on January 3 and immersed students in the fundamentals of manufacturing procedures and processes. Training included a focus on both hard skills and soft skills for the workplace. Once completed, students will be uniquely qualified for high-demand, entry-level positions in the manufacturing industry.
