Is your company engaged in robotics or IIOT research?

A unique opportunity to pool resources with like-minded organizations pursuing research within Industry 4.0 platforms, such as robotics and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), is available for attendees of the International Workshop on Project Clustering in Industry 4.0, in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 21.

AMP SoCal recently collaborated with Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) to hold an Industry 4.0 Workshop as part of its Innovation Forum series. The March 10 workshop included guided discussions between small and medium sized manufacturers engaged in research and development. The day’s goal was to establish project clusters to share knowledge, provide broader solutions in less time, reduce research costs, and expand networks through building of domestic and international coalitions. The topics of the upcoming international Industry 4.0 event will be further exploration of the discussions and information gained from the AMP SoCal workshop and other similar sessions around the country.

Similar to the smaller scale workshops held earlier, the June 21 event is designed to bring together industrial representatives and key partners from existing projects who are involved in research and development under the general term “Industry 4.0” and are receptive to collaborations with others for mutual benefit. Through discussion and facilitation, cluster representatives will identify synergies with other projects, new ideas within the cluster and any initiatives that could benefit their own cluster – including its expansion by drawing in new stakeholders from within and outside the IMS program. The first step to locating compatible project clusters is to fill out the following survey:
